Pregnancy is a phase that is cherished by women for their whole life. During this phase, women intake a lot of healthy food and vitamins due to which they get healthy locks without much effort. But most pregnant women experience severe hair loss after the delivery. Postpartum hair loss is a common phenomenon and there is no need to worry about it. Once you get pregnant, the pregnancy hormone HCG rises along with other hormones like progesterone, estrogen, prolactin, and oxytocin. These hormones prevent the normal hair fall that you experience every day. But after the delivery, the level of these hormones drop all of a sudden resulting in hair loss. It is common and you should not panic. You might experience hair fall from 5-6 months after which it will stop.

Avoid root stressing hairstyles 

You all love to try different hairstyles for different occasions but some hairstyles can be stressing your hair roots making them weak. Weak hair roots are the main cause of hair loss thus you have to be careful with your styling. Avoid tight ponytail for a longer time, instead, go for the loose one. Avoid using hair extensions as the clips attached to them can stress the hair roots. Massage your scalp daily with your fingertips gently to boost up your hair growth.

Have enough protein and vitamin B 

Protein rich diet is very important for your body and hair. If your diet is not having enough protein supplements, chances are that you will have to face hair loss. Include fish, eggs, meat, etc in your regular diet. These protein rich diets will also make your muscles stronger and firm. Vitamin B is also equally important for good, shiny, and voluminous hair. You can include avocado and various nuts in your diet to make your body rich with vitamin B.

Massage your scalp

It is suggested to use organic oil like castor oil, coconut oil, olive oil, or sweet almond oil for massaging the hairs. You can also mix two oils to get the best results. To get the best results, you can lukewarm the oil. After the massage, you can wrap your head with a hot towel. You can follow this routine religiously to get the best results.

Consider homemade hair masks

There are several ingredients in your kitchen that can work wonders on your hair. One such ingredient is fenugreek. You can soak the fenugreek seeds overnight and use its water as a hair rinse or hair spray. The soaked seeds can be grinded and mixed with aloe vera and curd to make a hair mask. You can use the hair spray and mask for 20 minutes two times a week to notice the results.
