Singapore, September 1, 2025 – Soft Source and Indonesian developer Berangin Creative have announced a new release date for their heartfelt narrative adventure game, Kejora. Originally slated for September 4, 2025, the game will now launch on January 8, 2026.
The Reason for the Delay
The reason for the delay is a simple, strategic decision: to avoid a direct launch conflict with the highly anticipated sequel, Hollow Knight: Silksong, which is also set to release on the same day. Both teams agreed that a simultaneous launch would prevent Kejora from getting the attention it deserves. It’s a move born of respect for Team Cherry and a recognition of the massive hype surrounding the Hollow Knight franchise.

Kejora has been in development since 2021, transforming from a run-and-gun side-scroller into a beautiful narrative puzzle adventure that celebrates Southeast Asian roots and talent. The collaboration between Soft Source and Berangin Creative has been a passion project from the start, and they want to give it the best possible chance to succeed.
Good News for Players
While the delay may be a disappointment to some fans, the teams bring good news. With the new release date, Kejora will not only launch on Steam but will also be coming to the Epic Games Store, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4/5, and Xbox Series X|S simultaneously.
